The North Pacific Research Board (NPRB) supports large-scale ecosystem studies off Alaska called Integrated Ecosystem Research Programs. The most recent was completed in the Arctic exploring marine processes in the northern Bering and Chukchi Seas in 2017-2021, beginning in the summer of 2017.
